Taiga - Metro: Exodus

This is a little thing I've been doing just to try out dip pen drawing. It's based on a map from the game Metro: Exodus.

I wanted to try doing a map where theres small illustrations for key features such as a church. I also wanted a more grand decoration for the page, which in this case unfortunatley ended up being cut off by the size of the paper itself.
I started doing the illustrations from the bottom left and you can see them slowly get better on the way up I think. Now that I've finished doing those I need to start working on the actual map features. Problem is that there's a lot of cliff faces in this and I'm really struggling to find a way to draw them properly. There's a visible attempt about 1/3rd of the way up in the middle but I think they don't look very good. If anyone has any advice for the cliffs I'd be very grateful.
Of course since this is just a practise I'd appreciate any critique that is offered. It's all fair game.
