It's just that the thumbnail won't show up because there was no wip tag for your post.
And I couldn't do the wip tag because of how you posted the image.
But it's only an issue as people can't see you map in the thumbnail scraper page.
    Nothing to be worried about.
Thank you, I'll be sure to post correctly next time. But obviously its not going to make a difference in voting. All are pretty darn good, but a few are truly works of art, truly wonderful.

Hi friends. What a great collection. I'm not yet sure how to vote, I have a couple of favourites.

    Also, happy new year everyone.

Which is why I never bother with contest maps unless I have a map I want to draw that fits the theme, and I'm sure that everyone who entered drew their map for that reason--they wanted to draw a map on that theme. Do not feel bad that they had the opportunity to practice cartography, which is what they wanted.

If one runs a marathon one need not regret losing to Eliud Kipchoge, running slower than an arbitrary time target isn't a failure; instead celebrate the massive achievement that is the result of training and dedication. For most runners the only real competition is to race against oneself and to strive to run one's best race and have fun. If everyone who takes part enjoys it then everyone wins.

I think the same can apply to cartography.

..., and me, I'm just part of the crowd, willing everyone on to do their best and inspired, one day, to put pen to paper. And when I do, I won't surprise everyone with a challenge winning entry straight out of the blocks, but I will have done more than nothing, and I will be on a path to grow and improve.

Just a few hours left to vote, if you haven't.
Though I believe we are unanimous in agreeing that Beee's map is a winner.

I'm getting ready to put together the next challenge, so check back today for that.
I hope we can get a bunch of people in on this next one.
