Hi everyone!

I've been active on other sites but was glad to come across this one. My name's Josh, and for the last year I've been working on a method to create a more 'realistic' rendering of maps, akin to a pseudo-satellite artstyle. While I'm a fan of more painterly fantasy maps, I didn't want to make them myself. Here's one of the first commissions I had in this style, blank as the client wanted to do the labelling themselves. I want to preface this, as I get asked a lot elsewhere, no I don't use existing earth textures. This is a digital painting using a variety of brushes and over a hundred layers.
