Westeros map (vector + interactive)

This is my first map. I’ve started to draw map of Westeros in Corel Draw, then switch to Adobe Illustrator. Both for vector graphics. First versions were quite simple with little number of mountains and forest as pattern icons. Later I drew mountains by hand and used custom pattern brush for basic shape of forest.



Vector map could be scaled as large as I like, but for interactive version I have 3 scales for text layers. Russian names are longer than English, so in some cases map is busy with text. This is personal project.

This is some amazing work! At first the font looked off to me, but I got used to it and I think it fits your style quite well in the end. The interactive map is so professional, I love it – unlike my proc haha.

Library of cyrillic fonts are not so large as latin, alas.

Great work on this! I always enjoy seeing what people can do when they combine mapping with web technologies. Nice to see how your map style progressed too. The final version looks really good.
