The Queen's Mounds

Here is my latest map, the Queen's Mounds (so named due to it being the residence of the Queen of the hive) set at sunset in the middle of the Sand Storm Desert. The city is the center of the Thaldorian Hives. While about half of the city is below ground, the other half stands tall amidst the desert sands at a crossroads in the desert. The ant-human residents are superb at building structures that would, to any other race, be impossible to use let alone construct. It allows their cities to have huge vantage points out over the surrounding territory.

I think this is the first time I have used several of these colors in a map. Pink does not have very many applications for my style normally...

Very nice and original idea ! I like the general "alien" look of it.

Thank you! It would be a rather strange area for any human to venture so I wanted it to look a tad alien while still representing the actual terrain of the region.
