Map Novo Mundo - New World of Elteron

I had drawn the continent of Elteron for author Gian d'Ávila last year, and he recently approached me to make an expanded map of his universe. The idea was to create a map in a Renaissance, classic style, with information about the calendar, mythologies, pantheon and finally, a small book in the form of a map. In this sense, I drew on an A2 size sheet, used a waterproof overhead projector pen and colored with coffee - yes, the colors are coffee pigment. The attached image is a high quality scan.

I was inspired by the idea of columns on the edges because I'm passionate about the work of Francesca Baerald and so many other Guild cartographers who make beautiful decorations, so I tried to style something simple but delicate. Hope you like it!

Aging the paper with coffee or tea is something I haven't seen in a while, beautiful work!

I always love seeing something new from you, Brendo, as I love the style of maps you create. The border illustrations are gorgeous and the whole map is just wonderful!
