Wip March/April/May '24 Lite Challenge: Cadhlin Vale

I have an initial rough sketch, that I think I like. I want to come up with some other interesting POIs besides the bridge and the three villages (currently represented by circles). Open any ideas!

Nice sketch, somewhat different from your usual top down style, but really promising! As for points of interest... I would say those mountains crave for caverns kkkkk, or maybe a mammoth cemetery somwhere...

Thanks! I try to be stylistically unpredictable... jk I just like to use these contests to push my skill set in new directions.

I have started working on the initial lineart.

Your mountain line-work looks Terrific. Pushing your skills is one of the main reasons these Challenges were created.

    Thanks Bogie!

I have made some progress on the linework and some initial rough texture. Still have quite a bot more linework to do and then shadows...

Outstanding line work... I love the 'feel' of the map... if that makes sense.

I have started adding some initial color, though I still need to ink the icons and a few other small details. I am not sure if I like the color scheme yet...
