    Very nicely done. Larger population centers are driven by economics, including the desire for food. If the area is peaceful, the trees might not be trimmed back, especially if there is a racial or religious aspect to having them close by -- that's something you will have to decide as DM and cartographer.

    Yeah, that is something I am going to have to look at. To tell you the truth, I didn't realize that the town has as large as it was. I thought Population from around 600 to 1000 (broad, yes but hey) and now im hearing things like 6K.
    Part of the cartography skills I am trying focus on includes the ability to make believable maps. Not always, as things like this months challenge would be hard to believe sometimes anyway, but for most maps that I will be working in at least in the beginning, realistic enough to not be ridiculous.
