    The theme is a good idea too. Very good idea.


    Optionally you could expand the challenge.

    'Trade has shaped and built our modern world. It has helped create the real wealth of developed countries since there have been markets and currency.'
    "Develop a map that focuses on trade and or trading factions. Alternately, pick a faction (could be a company, a county etc...) and present a couple of maps that detail the factions trading interests through different viewpoints or locals."

    - Might be the exploits of a pirate voyage or trade voyage.
    - Might be an exploration on a new frontier and what can be bought where.
    - Might be the trade centers of a far flung land.
    - Might detail the wealth of a decadent empire...

    - might.....

    Dollhouse Syndrome = The temptation to turn a map into a picture, obscuring the goal of the image with the appeal of cute, or simply available, parts. Maps have clarity through simplification.

    Sigurd, that's actually part of the idea in my head that maybe didn't make it to the post...

    I think the core idea is: Trading shapes, makes and breaks empires...
