Hi all, thanks for the feedback. I started labelling more and tried to enhance resolution (however i'm afraid i started off too low res so lesson is to start higher res on my next map). Labelling is painful trying to make them more readble whilst keeping the weathered look. They're not yet what I want but I'll keep experimenting. As for the outline it indeed looks like Africa although I generated it with a fractal tool.

Tried to enhance resolution more and re-did the details. I think this is the final one ... tho somehow it seems one can never completely finish a map...

2 things, both optional, but it's what I would do (and I often overdo things):

    1. Increase the opacity on that dark outer glow around your labels, might make them more dramatic.
    2. Put a dark outer glow around the border to separate it from the map a tad.

    Otherwise, nice.
