    I did some subterranean tiles a while back and asked Dorpond to wrap them all up as a maptool bundle type thing. Have a try with them they were done as part of the geomorphic tiles that we did in one of the challenges about Jun 08 or so. If you look for Dorponds last topic then I posted links to them.

    Theres Torstans set too of course.

    The way I did it was to create tiles that are larger than the required size. Then use the marquee tool (which does snap to guides) to crop them down to the correct size. 100px in my case.

    Note that if you have tiles that are an odd number of squares on one side and an even number on the other then they won't rotate properly within maptool. You'll need to save two copies, one for each orientation.

    I already planned on doing diff orientations anyway since I plan of using bevels on them and it just would not look quite right when rotated manually (one of the reasons I want to make my own, because some of GE's tiles don't have a corresponding version in a different rotation angle.
