    Post Another hello

Hi, just thought I'd say hello as a new member. I've come over from the RPTools forums (hello Maptool affectionados) and thought this forum would be a good place to share ideas, maps and methods.

I pretty much use Photoshop for all my mapping work and have posted some tutorials over at RPTools. Hopefully I'll get some time to contribute as I love digital art and especially cartography!

Here's some links to maps I've messed about with in the past...

    Hey!

Nice to meet you! That is some nice work! I especially like the keep wall map. Fabulous use of shadows. Did you create the trees yourself?

Welcome, Aidy! Some lovely maps there! Was the path Adventures one used for a boardgame or an RPG? I really like the style of it, reminiscent of Avalon Hill's 'Dragonpass' game.

    Cheers

Very Nice, the Adventure Pass map to me is very TSR World of Mystra for the Basic D&D Game.

As others sadi, LUV the Keep Wall map. Very nice.

Welcome AidyBaby! Nice to see some of the MapTool members filtering over here. As i've said over there, there is definitely a kinship between both the sites I think when it comes to the gaming side of map making.
Bill Stickers is innocent! It isn't Bill's fault that he was hanging out in the wrong place.

Hi. The path adventures map is for my current campaign which is based on the WotC Adventure Series that starts with the Sunless Citadel and ends with the Bastion of Broken Souls. If you know the modules you may recognise some of the names.

The map was made in photoshop but the style is taken from a free program called Hexmapper. http://home.paonline.com/zaikoski/ak/TOOLS.HTM I took the various symbols and colours and made photoshop patterns to create the hexes, the terrain symbols and cities, etc. I love the old school (Mystara) style.
