Welcome to the guild, and rep to you for being brave enough to post a map as part of your first post

I don't really have anything to add that hasn't been said already - except to underline what everyone's already said!

And speaking as someone who likes the hand-drawn style best, do all the tutorials you can wether or not you think you'll stick with that style - I learned more photoshop skills in the last 6 months than I have in the last 10 years, and I find myself using bits and pieces learned along the way in manners I never would have expected

    My finished maps

It's good to see another manual artist among the ranks! You may feel humbled but by no means should you ever feel dicouraged, this community is chock-full of helpful and supportive fellow artists that only want to see you improve. I don't think your work is at all bad, in fact it looks pretty good! Kudos on your first post! To quote one of my art instructors: "Art is 10% talent and 90% practice." So keep it up

I hand-draw the great majority of my maps though I also use AutoCAD for some of the more complex structures. I've been drawing maps for over two generations now and I'm only just beginning to get into the digital aspect of it in order to increase my productivity (primarily for labeling since hand-calligraphy takes so long). While you may learn to like the digital process, don't ever think you need to give up the manual aspect of it if that's what you enjoy. I still draft some projects by hand even though I'm proficient in AutoCAD simply because I still love the feel of putting pen to paper.
