Soooo, I'm not completely certain this fits the challenge criteria, since it's not the kind of map that'll attract the attention of the river police, but it's most definitely 'all wrong'. Once the idea popped into my head, I couldn't NOT do it.
As will quickly become apparent, I've spent more time writing text and working on layout, than I have on mapping, but oh well, I was enjoying myself. I need to add more features to Mordor like rivers and labels, and I'm hoping to do a few very small picture icons for some of the places I've mentioned. I haven't committed to that pinkish background on the map. I'd put a block of colour there just as a holding place initially, and randomly picked a colour from my palette, but then I came to kinda like it. Not sure, though. I feel Mordor shouldn't use normal mapping colours (especially not in this challenge!) so something a little 'off' isn't as weird as it would be on a regular map. So that's where I'm at now. Next job is labelling and rivers, and working on my icons.
Also, if anyone needs help organising their next holiday, you have but to ask! I'm here for you, Guild!
