Wip WIP Map : The Barryngale Dominions

    Good day friends!

This is a map I've been working on for myself, as I am currently working on a novel. If you have any tips or comments, I would be pleased to see them!
    The Barryngale DominionsWIP1.jpg
I followed Daniel Hasenbos tip on drawing the mountains myself.
Damn it's hard. But I love the results! I am not done drawing them, though, but I was really, in my own language, "crissement écoeurée" of drawing mountains!
As for the floating continent, it is not really "floating", as it is attached to a gigantic monolith connected to the lowlands. Everything has an explanation for this, if you want some just ask!
    Thank you friends! <3

P.S. I wasn't really planning on using the same pattern for the ocean as the previous map I posted on the forums, but it helps me drawing!

Well, it's very promising, Mimine! I like a lot the general shape. The forests look a bit flat to me, but I'm sure they will work as fine as your pretty mountains when finished.
The sea texture is indeed a bit weird right now.
That monolith has to be very solid to support such an island!

Thank you Ilanthar! The thing is, a little bit of strange magic helps that flimsy monolith I am actually wondering how to improve my forests, but I'm sure I'll come back with an idea soon!

You're mountain outlines look good, and I really like the little details around the coast, looks promising so far.

Good morning guys! Worked a little bit on my map, added some more details / forests. Still can't draw any more mountains, I'm frustrated just to see them. Worked on the borders, too.

It has a very fantastic flair to it Mimine! I like your Mountain ridges a lot and i'm looking forward to see the forests being fleshed out. The bright island on the dark background has a very appealing aetheric moonlighty touch to it. The mysterious stone ring nicely adds to this too. Are you planning to keep it that way?

Thank you very much Abu! I am having some trouble figuring out what you refer as the "stone ring". Is it the area in the top left corner? Because I haven't worked on it yet, but it will be a drawing of the floating continent! I don't plan on changing the emplacements on the map. (Sorry for the questionning, my first language is french and I sometimes have some trouble understanding!)

I meant the stonehenge like circle of monoliths(?) near the centre of the map. With my last question i was referring mainly to the colour scheme you have with the "moon-colored" floating island on the dark blue background, and if you plan to keep it colourwise somewhat like that... Sorry english isn't my first language either, but my french is even worth!

Ok I understand for the small monoliths! Actually, I put a beige color to work on my map because the bright white was starting to assault my eyes! I plan on coloring the whole thing later on, with green and some terra cotta too
