Default The Town of Thornwall from the World of Aetaltis

Here's a little map of the town of Thornwall that I created for Marc Tassin's RPG setting Aetaltis. The village has sprung up within the confines of an ancient now abandoned elven hedge wall. More about the setting and town can be found here along with a free high-resolution downloadable version of the poster map.

Wow this is really, really, great. I love the idea of setting it in autumn. There are many great details, like the smoke from chimneys and the market tents there in the center of town. The only thing I could wish for is some light shading on the cliff to visually indicate which is up and down so one doesn't have to rely on the waterfalls.

Gorgeous! The fall colors are beautiful. I really like the variety of colors, it's a real treat to behold. Fantastic job as always Mike.

That's impressive and your somewhat dense style fits perfectly with those autumn colors.

I think Profantasy needs to re- enter negotiations with you for a new annual! We have your overland style, and your dungeon style....but it won't be complete without this, your town/ city style. Mr. Schley, this is absolutely gorgeous!!! Picture perfect, and so inviting...it's something I would expect to see in a children's book. One of the classics like Alice in Wonderland.

I love the way you created your farmland. It's a beautiful new approach. The waterfall is lovely, and the autumn colors in the trees! I'd like to invest in some real estate here!

I don't know if I can rep you again so soon...but I'm certainly going to try!

    Stunning... as always.
It looks like such a quaint, cozy village, I could imagine it in a movie.

Wow, this is fantastic! Those colourful little trees really sell it for me, with the way they contrast beautifully with the green landscape. Your linework is just outstanding.
