    Default *** January 2017 VOTING: Map a Song ***

    It's voting time!

If you'd had the same song stuck in your head for the last month... I apologise! You can finally move on.

We've got nine maps to choose from this month. Check 'em out on the thumbnails page, then vote for your favs. You can vote for as few or as many as you like. Voting runs for three days and our winner(s) gets a gold compass. Please rep all maps you feel are worthy.

    Thanks to everyone who entered!

    Another hard choice to make.

EDIT: Don't the voting threads usually get stickied?

Always a pleasure to have a little map challenge with other cartographers, that's a good stimulation!
Some cool maps in the contest this month, i'm particularly fond of fabio's and djan's maps. Thanks for the votes and rep for my challenge entry and congrats to every players for their inspiration!

I am terribly sorry for not finishing my map on time. I just thought I would let people know a fun fact about that map. Those little images of things like the Chicken of Bristol are actually real pieces from medival manuscripts. I thought they would look great on this map as you see a lot of that kind of thing in the movie.

Anyway, I liked the idea behind doing this map so much that I am going to continue making this map until it is done. Though that may be a bit slowly as I've got quite a bit on my plate right now. But look for it in the WIP regional threads soon because that is where I am going to put it.

And such wonderful maps this time around. I have started limiting myself to voting for only two maps now. It is an agonizing choice because I always want to vote for a lot more, but I feel that limiting it to only two choices really makes me think very hard about which maps I feel really stood out to me in the challenge, and fit all of the criteria for the challenge.

Still, even though I cannot vote for everyone, I really did enjoy seeing everyone's maps. Good luck to everyone and congrats to whoever wins
