July 2017 Challenge: Desert Dragon
Hello, cartographers!
Couple of weeks ago, I said that I have a prompt I really like on my list. Here it is:
For a person who grew up with the images of Tatooine and Arrakis, visited Sahara twice, and has a fascination with dragons this was not a difficult choice - it took me about five seconds to decide that I will map an ancient sapphire-scaled dragon sleeping somewhere in the Dune Sea. So, I started drawing...and drawing...and things soon got out of control. I would like to add more details to the map, but, with only seven days left to finish this entry, I will try to ignore my (wild) imagination and go with this:
