    I like it & I do think it's better without the border. Nice details, like the town icons and ships.

    Thank you for the kind words! Here's a slightly updated version. Think I'm just about finished, so I'll let it sit and simmer for a bit before going over it again for the deadline...

    Nice work! The paper on wood is a great idea, but the background image is too bright (in my view). Maybe tone it down a bit?

    Oh, well that's easy enough. I have tons of wood plank fills to choose from. Thanks for the compliment and suggestion!

    This is looking really wonderful, Scott

    Those planks are a bit pixelated though. Maybe use a solid wood texture - more like a table top?

    I think you've got the edges just right
