This was a fun project, and different from my usual fantasy maps. The client wanted the map in gold and silver and black, which was a color scheme I'd not done before, but I really enjoyed making it work. I've been hoping wanted to do a Celtic-style map for a while too, so I really enjoyed studying old Book of Kells illustrations and getting inspiration for the details. Those knots are SO much more intricate than they seem at first--it was certainly a new challenge!

Ooooh, I LOVE these colors! Love love love. Holy crap, they look absolutely amazing. Nice and neat map too, and the decorations are so neatly done and just the right amount of ornate without going too far. A fabulous map, one of the best I've seen in a long time!

Thanks so much! The gold was tricky! It kept coming out bronze.
