Wip A map for my book (Teacup)

    Hi,

I'm working on a map for a book that I am writing and thought I'd post my project here.
I have previously made a map for a boardgame project which I have posted here:

It is not quite done yet and will keep you updated on that when I get back to it.

My current project is similar as I am making it with acrylic paints on a canvas.

I started out with a simple sketch on my whiteboard:

And now I have begun the actual painting, I will be adding a lot more detail:

Here's a closeup of the mountains before I painted in the snowy peaks. They are elevated because I used a glue gun to get them a little higher up. It is the first time I have tried that and think it looks pretty good.

The green square at the top of the map will be a zoomed in map of a dwarf mine/cave that can be found in one of the mountains, but I think I will post my progress on that in a seperate WIP.

Please feel free to come with comments and suggestions

Lovely, tangible mountains - I really like this look.

Very nice style! I don't know much about working with acrylics, I'm full digital with my mapping, so I'll be watching this with great interest.
