I'm curious how you did the farmlands.

1. For each plot, I made one straight line and then used copy/paste to create all the parallel furrows. I used the eraser to adjust lengths.
2. Then I put a color background behind each plot.
3. Then I used sheet effects to blur, etc (obviously, you'd need to change these settings depending on the size of your map)
   
   1. Background:
      
      1. Trasparency: Opacity 30%
      2. Blur: Blur Radius 50
   2. Furrows
      
      1. Blur: Blur Radius 5
   3. Trees
      
      1. Bevel: Length 8, Strength 35, Fade 5
      2. Drop Shadow: OffsetX 4, OffsetY 4, Opacity 50, Blur Radius 6
      3. Glow: Inside, 45-58-12, Strength 1, Blur Radius 40
      4. Glow: Outside, 0-0-0, Strength 1, Blur Radius 4
