I admire how much detail you invest into your work J. This is really coming along nicely.

Thanks Arsheesh. I do put a lot of time and detail in.
Often why I am not able to get these completed by the end of a challenge.
I'm trying hard for that to not be the case here though.
Another update. More stone, walls, docks, and such.
A bit of base color. Next up will be finishing the top image before getting into shadows.

That's the least you could say. Those rocks, walls and roofs have so many details that we're almost looking for the small hidden lizard !

Yeah, and don't forget all the algae and mussels on the rocks beneath the waterline! XD (obviously a joke, NOT a suggestion)

This is already looking so great John. Having a weakness for japanese castles, i'm really looking forward to see this unfold!

I can't tell you how happy I was to finish up the rocks last night. Same as when I finished the roof tiles. Well, I still have some upper roof tiles to do...

Oh dear.. no, no underwater details. Well, except some rock bits... I love Japanese architecture yet this will only be the second time I've done it.
Aside from the insane roof tiles, I would love to do more of it. It's fun to lay out and draw.

I'll have another update sometime today.

Another update - water!!! And shadows.
It's coming along pretty well. Got loads still to do but it's looking respectable now.

Are you kidding me?!? I don't check in on this thread for a couple days and come back to this divine madness/awesomeness! How you kept your sanity drawing those tiles I'll never understand.
