Hey guys, thank you all!
Sounds reasonable, thanks for the info and the link!"the straight lines criss-crossing many portolan charts represent the thirty-two directions (or headings) of the mariner's compass from a given point. This is similar to the compass rose displayed on later maps and charts. Naming or demonstrating all thirty-two points is called boxing the compass."
Oh yes, you will. Right now I'm working on a very large map in which I have already invested thounsands of hours. The current part is however quite demanding and discouraging because I need to place about tenthousand names of villages, citys and states on the map, not to mention all the decorative elements and texts. However, fourth is already done. The motivation I needed to continue I got now.Yeah, ditto! My God, those are all simply beautiful. I hope we see many, many, many more maps from you!

Very beautiful maps Quabbe. I'd love to see those last two you posted, the dark ones, in a higher resolution so I could get some more details from them.
Great stuff.
Royal: I'm very sorry for your loss, your mother was a terribly attractive woman.

Those are some really amazing maps there Quabbe. I especially adore the 4th maps with a very nice colour scheme on your oceans. It seems a bit cartoon-esque but then again not really...
1 word: inspirational!
Holy shhhhhiiiiiii...that's impressive. Is that Papyrus your using in there? I love that font.
Reminds me a =tiny= bit of the British Isles. Great work - keep it up!
