Heh, I like the sound of this! Off to a nice start and interested to see where you go with this.
I think I've been to Glenmore, if it's the same place I'm thinking of. We hired a rowing boat and I almost ended up in the water. Fun times.
So I'm very new here still, but I figured I'll get stuck in while I've got the bug for making maps.
The idea is that the Official Fancy map of the Laird of Glenmore's estate has been "adjusted" by Grim Bob to organize his reiving parties.
The Estate And Outlying Territories of Fergal Drumbull Laird of Glenmore
Grim Bobs Reiving Grounds
So far just a quick sketch of the layout, roughly based on the real Glenmore in the Scottish Highlands (https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@57.16.../data=!5m1!1e4)

Yeah, I think it's the same place. I remember walking through the trees, and you could see the loch just ahead, and it was gorgeous!
Map's looking good.

Wow, the linework looks amazing and it shines even more with the lovely colouring/shading! Btw., a belated welcome to the Guild

Welcome to the Challenge, I agree with Abu, the coloring and shading are a nice improvement.

Like Abu said, great linework, almost looks like a Schley map !
Thanks alot - Schleys maps are a big 'inspiration' I love his perspective style maps. (Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery/Great artists steal)
Just plowing on with this, all the trees are done now, and I started playing around with the paths and adding some finer details. I was struggling with the rivers, they looked too much like all the other mountain lines, but I came up with the blue glow round them which I really like. Pops them out, and tells you what they are without any extra details.
