    Question Gimp for Dummies?

Is there any recommended books, or manual available for learning Gimp.
I have tried several of the Youtube tutorials, but they go too fast for me.
I think if I had manual that was easy to read, I could get started on Gimp
easier that the tutorials I have seen...

    Try this
    https://www.cartographersguild.com/s...ead.php?t=1142
Dunno if it's what you want, but it's not the only one out here on the Guild.

Well that is a good start...
I figured there was something on this site to help us Novices.
I quickly scanned through the different pages, and it looks
like just what I need to get started. I think I will open the
Gimp program on my desk top, and then load the tutorial
on my lap top and follow along...Watching and doing!!!
    Thanks for the help

As the author of that tutorial I warn you now it is for quite an old version of GIMP, and may not work on current versions or have different commands in different menu locations.

Another thing to do is to use the Advanced Search in the upper right of the forum and set it as so:

This returned over 100 tutorials with GIMP in the title - looking through the list might help narrow it down for you.
