Here's a new map in the same-ish style.

It's basically just a lot bigger.

I am not looking forwrd to foresting this, but it needs to be done.

Forests generally go faster but if you intend to have a lot of them it might take as much time as the mtns. Looks good so far.

Very nice, my only critique at this point is that some of those rivers are very noticeable, they kinda steal focus from the rest of the map with that bold black colour.

People come and people go. I walk amongst them, I see their faces; but none see mine. I pass them in the streets but nary a glance is spared my way, for what interest would they have in a Wanderer? Not of this world... Forever Alone... Forever Wandering... LoneWandererD...

Grrr. I figured out how to layout forests using a pipe in GIMP but I can't save the file corectly or export it into something usable

What I am trying to do is. . .

    1) Paint trees onto a new layer in GIMP
    2) Save the file
    3) Open it in anything.

    - Sometimes ( I can't reliably reproduce it) GIMP won't save the file successfully and I end up with a large file of useless gibberish.

    Anyway it's working today.

    - The forest is an attempt at something a little different - a deciduous forest w/o leaves.

    More trees.

    Yay.

Next step --> image-piping in fields. Plant by single plant.

I'm saving the political stuff for later, as a reward.

I have to agree, those rivers are now waaaaaaay too heavy compared to everything else. Try get in there and tone down the solid opacity of those rivers, especially when they widen out.

Interesting. . . for few iterations I did exactly that and did not care for it. I think I am going to to try darkening the coastline for balance, rather than toning down the rivers.

    - The big addition this time is fields.
    - I tried darkening the mountains, rather than lightening the rivers. Lemme know what y'all think.
