Hope you feel better soon, Jaxilon! We were just razzing you about opening the voting because you seemed so firm on closing it out early.
BUT, now I'm razzing you because there's no poll here?

Voting time!
Challenge was to:
As usual -Create a map based on "Ruin".
Perhaps a destroyed planet, a fallen castle, a burned out city or ancient archeological dig or even floating wreckage, whatever you can come up with. It can be real or fantastic.
1) Look over each entry, thumbnails link to full size images:
2. Vote for as many entries as you like. (Note that voting for all of them will not help to decide a winner.)
3. Remember to give REP for those entries that you feel deserving of it.
Voting will end in three days on the 4th because February is a short month and we need to get rolling.
Have fun!

No worries. You were typing that while I was creating the poll. It takes a while to get all the links cut/pasted into the voting poll. I'm not sure if it's worth it. I just personally like it when it's there because it allows a quick link to the entries. That's in addition to the thumbnail link.

mearrin69 nailed it. Awesome work.
Freehand 5.5 - Although not so mappy, it's still an awesome piece of art. Love it!
Ah. Awesome! Sorry to rush you. Off to look at the final entries.

Mearrin, Troedel and Freehand looks the best to me. Good jobs all you guys!
Kier - well done on your first challenge. Water is very hard to get right, and you did. Love the skeleton sharks!
Blast it! I drew my ruins but I was too late to submit an entry to the January Challenge. Crap. Well, that leaves the February Challenge to me...

Some maps did not cross the finish line, I hope they get completed anyway.
My three votes:
The Ruins of The White Eagle Fortress by eViLe_eAgLe are a great battlemap with lots of detail. It could have used some more time but is great anyway.
Chapel Of The Holy Rose by Freehand 5.5 is great art, the theme is something that does not get me started. So my vote for the former reason
The ruins of Ningan/orc worg-lord village by mearrin69 Ruins is the theme and it is executed in a lovely way. If looked at in a small version it´s a bit "noisy" in my opinion. It´s meant to be looked at in detail!
THX for the great competition, I enjoy these very much!
My main vote is for Freehand's beautiful piece. The map's not an eye-catcher on its own but the whole thing is beautiful. Second was for eViLe_eAgLe's ruins. I really love the look of the linework and coloration. Sapiento's gets my third vote. I like the overall impression and some of the details are very nice (trees in particular). Could use some dirtying up.
I only wanted to use three votes so as to not muddy up who's the winner. All entries were very nice...especially some of the ones that didn't get finished before the deadline. Please finish them up. We want to see!
Thanks to everyone for your votes for my piece.
