    Map The Pilgrimage of Scallop

    The Pilgrimage of Scallop
    Der Jakobsmuschelweg

A historical Roadmap of a Pilgrimage in the Virtual Nation Gran Novara.
The Pilgrimage of Scallop is the main pilgrimage of the Novaro-Catholic Church.
It runs along the "Baia di Mangare". Start is in San Benedetto, and it ends at Citta di Vikario.
It exists since the Medieval and is first mentioned in 1182 in the annals of the Abbey of San Benedetto.
Legendary names such as Lasagna, Spireli or Fusilli based in need of eating many scallops during the pilgrimage in many variations.

    The map
Model was a real historical map.

Designed with Inkscape and Photoshop. First the roads, villages and signatures with Inkscape. Then a lot of shades and filters with PS.
Montains and forrests from the source of Vandy. Thanks to him.

    Hope you like the map!

    Very nice Ruedy!

Took me a few seconds to realize it was one big, long scroll...

Very, very pretty. I would like to be able to read the labeling though (mostly because I am curious)... is this the final resolution?

    Yes, it's final.
The labeling is not readable - only the names of the villages - because it's a part of an articel in a virtual "National Geograhics Magazine" with many infos about the pilgrimage.
The small labeling are textes like lorem ipsum, and a few italic phrases.

It's the task of the novarian science to encrypt the labeling, so it's part of the RPG.
Hope you understand what I mean.

Today I made a modern map for the pilgrimage-magazine-article, too.
It's made with Inkscape and Photoshop.

    If someone is interested.

    That's pretty darn sweet.
If the radiance of a thousand suns was to burst at once into the sky, that would be like the splendor of the Mighty One...I am become Death, the Shatterer of worlds.
