Thread: Andora - A Map for a RPG

Post Andora - A Map for a RPG

This map was made for a Brazilian RPG Author, Marcelo Paschoalin who is translating one of his book into English and wanted a map update to go along with it. He had initially requested something like S. John Ross's Uresia so this map is similar, in that it is a woodcut map, but went a different way when it changed to B&W, and gained terrain features.
This map was created using a Gimp->Inkscape, rinse and repeat work-flow, with most of the layers being created in Inkscape then composited in Gimp. A bit of WIP can be found in this thread.

I would like to have made the mountains a bit lighter, but the requester preferred them as is, so this is how they shall remain.

This map is copyright (c)2009 with all name places the property of Marcelo Paschoalin.

    Post Folow-up

    Bit of a follow-up.

Here is the map applied to a textured bg, with a 1/2 px displacment using the texture as a source to make it look less computer generated.

This map was created for the Dark Fate RPG game for which the English version is now available for purchase.
