Watch out! if your players have new boots... the ground is still wet...

In order to get myself in a map making mindset, I told myself that even though I am new here I should enter the may contest... so today I made this simple cave map mostly trying to get as much texture as I could and still stay in the file size.

The overall shape is the Photoshop plug-in "clouds"... thresholded brought it down to a black and white matte then it was given some extra definition by hand.

Then I drew in the "mud" on two layers that had some bevel & emboss applied to it with a brush on a low opacity, and after some hue & saturation it was on to compression... anyway.

I gave it a spin in the RPGTonight VTT and it worked... but I was not playing an adventure so I guess in the end you all will be the judge.
