Thread: August 2007 Entry: Modern Rose

Post August 2007 Entry: Modern Rose

This is intended for modern maps. It is based on a compass I drew in a dungeonforge forum thread a while back.

This one is completely from scratch, however, and completely in Inkscape, including all shading, blurs, effects, and so on. I have exported it as as png, so the transparency has been maintained. I'd love to see someone drop it on a map (hint It is intended to look like a metal rimmed, curved glass thingy with the marking engraved and enameled on it.

I could also remove the hightlights and shadows so it could be rotated differently... I'll post the svg if there is interest.

*EDIT* I added an in use example on a map I found on my hard drive...Not the right style, but shows off the lighting effects a bit more...

See... why do I even bother to enter these competitions...? Another beautiful compass that I have no chance of beating.

Default There are few Modern Compass Roses that I know of

There are certainly too few Modern Compass Roses available!

This has a very professional look.

    Nice job!
