    Yes, and south of that, just above where the Bahr al Jabal is labelled on that map, it splits into two streams (the Bahr al Jabal and the unlabelled Bahr el Zeraf), which both meet up just west of Malakal, forming a triangle.

    Yep, pretty clear the Mountain Nile splits and then merges with the Sobat?

    There is a problem with mapping the Nile, it doesn't stay put and the Y split shown is actually a delta-like area as you can see in this satellite image. The Mountain Nile is the wide swath of green.
