Toff, I have a tutorial inwork for putting the maps into gmaps, but it is Global Mapper orientated, as that is what I use to tile the imagery. If you just want a quick way to put a map into google maps, GMapUploader is dead easy, upload your image (16384x16384 pixels Max) and the site will process it and then give you a link to your new map. Connection speed needs to be pretty good for real large images. The link on the bottom of your map page will show a full screen image.
    The page is pretty basic,
but you can get a google page and tweak the html to get something like this

If you view source on the misty mts page you can see that all that is really necessary to get a gmap into google pages is a key for the page and the js, which I copied from the js/html of the page made by gmap uploader and pasted into the google page while in html edit mode.

I'd like to try my hand at a slighted castle, done partially in 3d and partially in photoshop (as my May entry was) - any suggestions?

I think I might claim Irontown in the The Beastlands, if no one else has already. Still reading up on the region, but I'm somewhat picturing a mostly lightly fortified large town/small city, with several secured districts, and open to the river. Maybe even a few smaller rivers reworked into canals to move logs and ore into the smelter/smithing halls.

Toff! Stop asking questions and pick a location to map already!
I know. I gotta get my magazine out; behind schedule as usual. If I have any time left in the month ... meh ... I really want to get in on one of these contests!
