    Wip [WIP] Top-Down Downtown Perspective

I'm new to cartography so this will be fun doing this next map here in the WIP forum.

This will be a section of the larger city. One of the trade centers of a metropolitan city. I'll start with this, then do a full city map, then graduate up to the region map.

This also contains The Sleepy Dwarf Inn, finished map posted here. (please ignore the controversy, it was settle quickly enough)

Should be interesting to see how this develops.

Nice start, and looking forward to seeing your next update. I admire your ambition in going from a small inn to a large region. Sounds like a great project!

Thanks guys for the interests! Makes it easier to plow through this.

I got the perspective lines in place now. Wow, that took too long. Now to start painting.

Nice variety of buildings without losing the central style, and I really like how you've done perspectives in the 'bird's eye view' shot.

Put down some color and started adding a bit of details. It won't pop until the lighting gets added. Although the colors are making me think a bit. I have some terracotta roofs and some slate. Wondering if this will look a little grittier or should I just have them all the same color. Make it all conform.

I think the mix of terracotta and slate roof colour will work great over the grey streets. The saturation of the colours, especially of the grass, should be reduced heavily once you put in the lighting so it'll look less clashy.
