Nice work, have some rep.
Here's my latest map, done using the excellent "Antique-style map" by Ascension - kudos to him. It's for a roleplaying game me and a friend are working on, which isn't finished but shaping up nicely, especially with this map to go with it.
The map is not completely done yet; I have some tedious naming work still to do, but I wouldn't think that will affect the result that very much, so this is pretty much how it will look in the end. Critique appreciated, although probably not listened to
Thanks.

If you are trying to emulate a woodcut around the coast they should come to points rather than fading. There are few examples using different tools in the forum:

Lovely shape though, and I like the subtle bulge distortion on the lat/long lines!

Originally, I used rings around the landmasses, but I'd screwed up a bit and that resulted in there being alot of one pixel island all over the place, and with the rings around those I'm sure you realize that didn't look very good. So then I changed to the woodcut look in the same thread as the tutorial.
Just to give you the background . I tried Butch Currys woodcut technique, but I just couldn't get it to look very good. I'll give it another try later, now I'm just too frustrated.
Now, to a few issues of my own. As you all may see, the two sea monsters in the corners have a slightly different color, the one on the left being a bit browner than the one on the right. It's pretty natural, since they're taken from different sources, but of course I don't want it looking that way. Any ideas as how to fix that?
Second, I don't quite like the rivers. I don't know if it was just me being too sloppy painting them in, or if they're placed at the wrong places or wahtever it could be. Do they look OK to you or should I redo them?
Finally, should I color up the mountains or not?
I think the woodcut monsters appear different colors because of the thickness of the lines. The dragon is made of much finer lines than the fish and looks lighter. The fish also looks a bit more pixelized. You could try fixing this by playing with the curves of the fish and trying to lighten it up a bit, or give a slight blur to the dragon.
I'm not allowed to comment on rivers yet.
Yes, I think you should color the mountains.
