    Post OT: Geek Passtimes

Just wanted to share a vid from another pass-time of mine... building autonomous Lego robots using the Mindstorm system.

This was a couple years ago

Our next contest is autonomous tic-tac-toe, on paper with markers...

Haha... I sometimes wonder if we will ever be able to build intelligent robots.
I don't think it's going to be pretty if we ever do. Suckers are gonna kill us all off!

Ah well, I am sure I won't need to worry about it in my lifetime

More likely the first self-aware robots will take one look at us and giggle themselves to pieces. Sort of a self-limiting thing.

    Let's hope so...
Anyway, I am a techie, but our dependence on technology is getting a bit scary. If our technology ever fails it will be total mayhem.

There was one thing missing from that video - the sound of the swings screeching with each swing. I live next to a school and sometimes you can hear the swings screeching while the kids swing on them. LOL, I don't think I have ever heard a swing that didn't screech unless it was brand new.

Cool video by the way! Very cool!
    Cheers,
