Very nice!
I suspect your elevation shadings could do without the outlines.
I'm trying my hand a making a topological map of the planet of Toril, which supports the Forgotten Realms.
I thought to share it here to gather some comments and pointers. I'm still at the stage of making the contour lines but at the detail i'm doing it...it's taking a long time
Here is the link.

Venus Public Transit, Map Of Ceres, Jack Vance's Ports Of Call & Lurulu ... why do I only have 3 maps here?
I think you might be able to keep the outlines, but I would do it in a lighter shade. Maybe gray instead of black.
I think that it is looking pretty good. What are you using to do the mapping?
Neat. Looks like a poo-load of work.
If I was forced to criticize, I'd mention that cluster of island south of the central continent. Way too precisely constrained to a square. Or is that some sort of magical artifact.
"The Great Square Continent created by Magus was badly cracked and nearly destroyed during the Sorcerous Wars of '46. The Great Duck Plague of '67 damaged it further."

It's always bothered me too, but that's how the cartographer fro TSR/WoTC designed it.If I was forced to criticize, I'd mention that cluster of island south of the central continent. Way too precisely constrained to a square. Or is that some sort of magical artifact.

I am still at the stage of drawing the outlines for elevations and no treatment has been made for colors and color tones and choices. I'm taking notes though. Thank you.
This is all done in Illustrator so far. I plan to import those elevation lines in ArcGIS and play with the 3d analysis plug when the times comes for relief effects. Utlimately, i'd kind of like to make a globe of the planet with globe plug in.
I've got tons of ideas in my head but so little time

Ah yes, Toril. It and I had a love / hate affair some years back as part of the Forgotten Realms Interactive Atlas Globe project. I think I still have the original TSR maps kicking around somewhere in the archives but I'm pretty sure that I'm not allowed to release them. Too bad, really, as that stuff needs to be revisited.
The map looks good so far! Doing that sort of stuff is a royal PITA, though. I keep meaning to put together the wavelet-based terrain stitcher for Wilbur to create worlds out of bits and pieces of Earth topography but I don't ever seem to get around to it.
Oh do, please! I'll steal a PC somewhere to run it on. I'll steal two and give you one. Hmm... I seem to be channeling my old halfling thief character. "Back in the bag, Dildo!"

I thought I have mantioned this one already but the real terrain stitching has been done extremely well by howard zhou. It's written as a plugin for world machine.
