This is something i want to understand perfectly. I read multiple articles about resolution but never found anything mentioned about the ACTUAL SIZE of printed image in 300dpi.

Some time ago i made a pamphlet for my wife, size A4 in 300dpi. She printed it out at work using large photocopier with some default settings. It came out divided in four A4 sheets. If i would cut out the edges and stick it together i would have size probably close to A2 and the quality of the image was perfect. My question is if i make A4 size document with 300dpi, what is the actual printed size of that document? How big can it be without loosing any quallity ?
