    Post Stereo Maps

I've just begun reading a cool book, and it has a stereo aerial pic in it of a landscape. And I thought ... hmm ... I wonder if I could map a STEREO MAP! So I did a little test, attached.

You guys know how to cross your eyes, yes? If you don't, there's probs an explanation of how to see these things somewhere on the web. Learn! It's fun.

Of course, this won't work with traditional Photoshop/Gimp or CC stuff. This requires building your map in 3D and rendering from binocular angles. But it kinda makes me want to start my next map project (lol) in a 3D app.

That looks cool, and works well. I would be interested to see a whole map done in this style, but I think that the more complex and large you make it the tougher it would be to get it to work for the viewer.
